Chittagong Test: Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 192 runs, clinch series 2-0

Dhaka, April 3: Despite a gallant resistance from Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Sri Lanka clinched the two-match Test series 2-0 against Bangladesh by beating the Tigers by 192 runs on the fifth day (Wednesday, April 3) of the second Test in Chittagong.

Chasing 511 to win, the hosts were bowled out for 318 in the second innings. Muminul Haque scored 50 and Miraz scored unbeaten 81.

After winning the first Test of the two-match Test series in Sylhet by 328 runs, Sri Lanka scored 531 in their first innings in the second Test.

In reply, Bangladesh were all out for 178 runs in the first innings. Sri Lanka declared their second innings at 157-7, and set Bangladesh a huge target of 511 runs to win.

Sri Lankan all-rounder Kamindu Mendis was selected Man of the Series for scoring 367 runs in four innings.
