First Test against New Zealand: Bangladesh win toss, batting first

Dhaka, Nov 28: Bangladesh are back on the field today after a poor performance in the ODI World Cup. In the first test of two-match series against New Zealand in the homeground, team Tigers won the toss and they are batting first.

Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and decided to bat against New Zealand in the first Test at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Batter Shahadat Hossain made his debut in this test. Five cricketers of the team Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Liton Das, Taskin Ahmed and Ibadat Hossain are not playing in this test match due to injury and vacation.

Right now, Bangladesh's score is 143 for the loss of two wickets after 42 overs. Opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy (64 off 130) and Muminul Haque (20 off 46) are on the crease. Zakir Hasan and skipper Shanto got out with 12 runs off 41 balls and 37 runs off 35 balls respectively. New Zealand's Ejaz Patel and Glenn Phillips got one wicket each.
