Football: Bangladesh beat Nepal after five years in FIFA friendly

Dhaka, November 14: Bangladesh defeated Nepal 2-0 in a FIFA friendly match at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday. The home team won against their Asian opponent after five years in international football. The last victory was in December 2015 in Dhaka in another friendly match.

In 2018, Bangladesh lost to Nepal in Bangabandhu Gold Cup.

They also lost to Nepal in the SA Games football last year.

On Friday, they took an easy 2-0 victory and avenged their previous losses.

According to past records, Bangladesh were the favorite against Nepal.

Coach Jamie Day's players played like favorites, and is leading in the two-match competition 1-0. The second match will be on November 17.

With this match, Bangladesh has returned to international football after 10 months.

Bangladesh was trying to move forward from the beginning and got the result in the tenth minute.

Nabib Newaz Jibon, the country's best forward at the time, scored the goal from Saad Uddin's cross.
