Mahmudullah's double ton in ODIs!

Harare, July 20: Mahmudullah Riyad got to a different double hundred in the third ODI of the series against Zimbabwe in Harare on Tuesday. The all-rounder became the fifth Bangladeshi cricketer to play 200 ODIs.

Mahmudullah entered the international arena in 2007 with an ODI against Sri Lanka. Riyad has gone through many ups and downs in his 14-year international career. Earlier, four more Bangladeshi cricketers had the honour of playing 200 ODIs.

Mushfiqur Rahim tops the list in ODIs. He has played 227 matches. Former skipper Mashrafe bin Murtaza has played 220 ODIs. However, he has played 218 matches for Bangladesh and two matches for the Asia XI.

Current captain Tamim Iqbal has played 219 matches. He surpassed Mashrafe in the record of playing for the country on Tuesday. Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has played 214 ODIs.

Before this match, Mahmudullah has scored 4469 runs in 199 ODIs. He has also taken 76 wickets.
