Dhaka, October 14: In a low scoring match, Mahmudullah XI registered a win by five wickets against Tamim XI in the second match of the ongoing BCB President's Cup in Mirpur.

Winning the toss, former Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah chose to field first in a rain curtailed match.

The two teams were given a revised playing condition of 47 overs.

Batting first, senior Bangladeshi pro Tamim Iqbal's team folded for a paltry 103 runs in just 23.1 overs.

While the skipper himself scored two, six of his batsmen got out for scores less than 10 runs.

Tanzid Hasan top scored with 27, closely followed by wicketkeeper-batsman Anamul Haque's 25.

For the bowling team, Bangladeshi natonal team regular Rubel Hossain starred with the ball in a match-winning spell of three wickets for just 16 runs in five overs.

Rubel later clinched the Man of the Match trophy for his exploits with the ball.

Coming in to bat, the chase began in a disappointing manner for Mahmudullah XI as they lost both their openers- Liton Das and Mohammad Naim for ducks.

The skipper's contibuted 10 runs, however, it was Nurul Hasan's 41, ably supported by Mominul Haque's patient innings of 39 that ensued victory for them.

For Tamin XI, Mohammad Saifuddin was the pick of their bowlers, picking up two wickets in four overs while spending eight runs.
