Dhaka, May 24: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squads for the three series of the West Indies tour. Mustafizur Rahman has been included in the squad for the Test series. After a long absence, Enamul Haque Bijoy has returned to ODIs and T20Is teams.

Despite some doubts about getting Shakib Al Hasan in the ODI series, the BCB has announced the squad for him. Of course, this is not a guarantee to get Shakib in the ODI series. Jalal Yunus, chairman of the BCB's cricket operations committee, has hinted at Shakib seeking leave.

Mushfiqur Rahim has taken a leave of absence from the entire tour due to Hajj. Besides, Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Khaled Ahmed have been dropped from the ODI team. Mohammad Naeem Sheikh has lost his place in the T20 squad.

Mustafizur Rahman and Mehedi Hasan Miraj have joined the Test team in their place. Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Enamul Haque Bijoy, Mohammad Saifuddin and Nurul Hasan Sohan have returned to the ODI and T20I squads.

After a historic performance in the last Dhaka Premier League, Enamul Haque Bijoy will return to limited overs cricket, it was as clear as daylight. This was confirmed by Jalal Yunus during the first Test of the current series in Chittagong.

Enamul Bijoy scored 1138 runs in the Premier League. No one in world cricket has scored so many runs in a single List A tournament. Earlier, he had scored 260 runs in BPL. Thanks to which the wicketkeeper-batsman returned to the national team in white ball cricket after almost three years.

On the other hand, the positive news about getting Mustafiz in the Test team was known earlier. Shariful Islam and Taskin Ahmed, the two main pacers of the team, will not be in the Test series for the West Indies tour due to injuries. So BCB has selected Mustafiz for the Test team to increase the strength of the bowling lineup. Mustafiz has responded positively in this regard.

It is to be noted that the Bangladesh team is scheduled to leave Dhaka in parts of 3, 5 and 6 for this tour. The first Test in Antigua will be on June 16. The second Test will be played in St. Lucia from June 24. The three matches of the T20 series are on July 2, 3 and 7, respectively. The last three ODIs will be on July 10, 13 and 16.
