Dhaka, July 29: Both host Bangladesh and visiting Australian cricket team will reach Dhaka on Thursday (July 29). The two teams will play a five-match T20I series.

Bangladesh from Zimbabwe and Australians will return from the Caribbean.

After completing the formalities at the airport, the two teams will go straight to the Hotel Dhaka Intercontinental and enter the bio security bubble.

The T20 series will start from August 3.

Shakib Al Hasan, the life and driving force of Team Bangladesh, was banned for a year. Tamim Iqbal also missed a few series. But Bangladesh has not played in recent and times without Mr. Dependable Mushfiqur Rahim and one of the batting pillars Liton Das.

Bangladesh will miss Tamim, Mushfiqur and Liton at home. Tamim is at rest due to a knee injury. Mushfiqur returned to the country in the middle of his visit to Zimbabwe as his parents were infected with coronavirus and Liton chose to be with an ailing family member.

Mushfiqur also dropped out of the series against Australia as he could not enter the bio-bubble at the team hotel by July 20. Liton Das, who returned to the country on Tuesday after his father-in-law contracted dengue, also left the bubble.

Therefore, Bangladesh will play a five-match T20 series against Australia without Tamim, Mushfiqur and Liton. On the other hand, Australia is also visiting without some frontline cricketers. Captain and opening batsman Aaron Finch had to drop out after he picked up an injury at the last minute.
