Dhaka, November 3: Just four days after the conclusion of the ongoing T20 World Cup, the Pakistan team is set to take on Bangladesh in a bilateral series. It is believed that Babar Azam will tour the nation with the same squad that is reperesenting the country at the mega event.

So far, Pakistan has been ruthless with the cricket and is one of the two teams to beat, alongside England.

Playing their first match at the tournament, Pakistan crushed arch-rival India to win by 10 wickets and then thrashed New Zealand and won a thrilling encounter against neighbour Afghanistan. By virtue of the three wins, Babar Azam's team has almost made it to the semi final of the event.

The team will tour Bangladesh for a three-match T20I and two-match Test series.

Four more players are likely to join the squad.

A source in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said, "The cricketers will leave the UAE directly for the upcoming series on Bangladeshi soil. There will not be much time between the two series. So players should not be allowed to leave the bio-bubble."

There is a twist to this. If Pakistan becomes the champion, then Babar's men might have to return to the country to celebrate the title with the countrymen.

The PCB source said, "It will be known in due course whether something different will happen if we become champions. But so far the possibility is that the team will go directly to Bangladesh from the UAE."

Pakistan has not yet announced a squad for the Bangladesh tour. However, board sources have confirmed that they are coming to Bangladesh with the World Cup team. Yasir Shah, Mohammad Abbas, Abdullah Shafiq and Saud Shakil will join the team later for the Test series.
