Sheikh Hasina PM to felicitate SAFF winning women footballers soon
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Oct 11: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will soon felicitate the undefeated Bangladesh women's football team in the SAFF Championship.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Zahid Ahsan Russell MP congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after the country became the undefeated champion in SAFF women's football after the cabinet meeting on Monday. Youth and Sports Secretary Mejbah Uddin was present at this time.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Zahid Ahsan Russell MP told Jago News, "While being greeted with flowers, the Prime Minister said, 'our girls have achieved unforgettable success. I will felicitate and congratulate them soon.' Meanwhile, other ministers also praised the girls' performance."
The girls of Bangladesh created history by playing with power in the recently held SAFF Women's Football Championship in Nepal. On September 19, the women of Bangladesh were crowned champions by defeating Nepal 3-1 in the final. They not only won the title but were also undefeated in the tournament.
