Prime Minister congratulates the President of Argentina on winning the FIFA World Cup

In a congratulatory message sent to the Argentine president on Wednesday, she wrote, "On behalf of the people of Bangladesh and myself, hearty congratulations to you and the friendly people of the Republic of Argentina and the winning team of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on the great victory of Argentine football."

"It gives me great pleasure to extend my sincere congratulations," she said.

In a press release issued by the Prime Minister's Press Wing, Sheikh Hasina said, "I am happy to note that the affection and love for football, especially the Argentina football team, deeply connects the people of our two countries."

The Prime Minister also said, "The people of Bangladesh showed their appreciation and love through the spontaneous celebration of your national football team winning the World Cup football championship."

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina emphasized, "This unprecedented love and affection between the people of our two countries has paved the way for strong bilateral relations."

She expressed optimism, "The opening of missions in each other's capitals in the coming days will further consolidate relations."
