PSL: Taskin won't play in Pakistan
Dhaka, 19 February 2023 : Once again Taskin Ahmed turned down the tempting offer thinking of the country.
Taskin turned down the offer from Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Multan Sultans wanted him for three matches. But keeping in mind the England series, the pace star said 'no' to that proposal.
Earlier, the world's biggest franchise cricket league turned down the offer to play in India's IPL.
Taskin Ahmed has contract in all three formats of Bangladesh team. This right-handed pacer got injured at the end of BPL. Much better now. But Taskin is not willing to take any risk before the England series.
Talking to reporters at Mirpur Sherebangla Stadium on Saturday, he said, "Because there is an important match against England. There have been offers for a few matches, and if I go there and miss this game, it will look bad. As I am recovering from an injury, getting fit is important.
Taskin was seen working with Julian Calefato, head of BCB's rehabilitation center at the academy ground on Saturday. He could have played in PSL if he wanted, but Taskin wants to be fully fit and enter the field for the country.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Test and T20 captain Shakib Al Hasan is now in Pakistan to play PSL. He played one match for Peshawar Zalmir.
