Shakib involved in the manipulation of shares of six companies!

Sports Correspondent, Dhaka, Nov 9: The name of cricketer Shakib Al-Hasan has come up in the stock manipulation of six companies listed in the capital market. The companies are - Fortune Suze, Asia Insurance Limited, One Bank, NRBC Bank, IPDC Finance Limited, and BDCom Online Limited.

Shakib has transacted Tk 104 crore through the Beneficiary Account (BO) of the institutions. The highest transaction of Tk 46 crore was done in One Bank shares. This information is known from Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).

According to the relevant sources, the world's best all-rounder Shakib is a member of Abul Khair Hero Group, the hero of capital market manipulation. He is the Chairman of Monarch Holding Limited. Abul Khair Hero's wife Kazi Sadia Hasan is the Managing Director (MD) of Monarch. Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has punished Abul Khair Hero's organization and family members in connection with the share manipulation of those six companies. But Shakib was not brought under punishment.

In view of that incident, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided not to keep Shakib as a brand ambassador.
