Shakib returns, Joy gets maiden cap as Pakistan win toss, elect of bat first
Dhaka, December 4: Pakistan has elected to bat first after winning the coin toss, on the first day of the second Test match against hosts Bangladesh at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla national cricket stadium on Saturday.
Meanwhile, opening batsman Mahmudul Hasan Joy has made his debut as the home team made three changes in their playing eleven from the first Test, which Bangladesh lost.
Pacer Khaled Hossain has replaced Abu Jayed Chowdhury Rahi while Joy is playing instead of Saif Hassan.
After recovering from injury, talisman Shakib al Hasan has also returned to the playing eleven in place of Yasir Ali Rabbi.
