Dhaka, August 5: Just 24 hours after Australia were handed a heavy defeat by hosts Bangladesh, the former witnessed an encore, as Mahmudullah Riyad and his men made sure the visitors make their lowest ever T20I score while batting first and playing out all 120 legal deliveries.

Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Matthew Wade's team managed 121 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Australia were tied down mostly due to the efforts of Bangadeshi left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who picked up three wickets. Shoriful Islam bagged a couple, while Shakib and Mahedi Hasan took a piece each.

For the visitors, Mitchell Marsh continue to extend his purple patch, scoring 45 runs and topping the batting charts.

Apart from Moises Henriques' 30, none of the other batters, barring Marsh, breached the 20-run mark. In a slow paced wicket, the Australian batsmen struggled for timing, managing to hit only one six in the entire innings, which came off Henriques's bat.

Starting the chase, Bangladesh lost two wickets for just 21 runs, but a steady partnership of 27 runs between Mahedi (23) and Shakib Al Hasan (26) put the team in a position of comfort.

However, Australia struck with spinner Zampa and Agar to put pressure back on the hosts, but Afif Hossain's unbeaten 37 and Nurul Hasan's 22 (not out) prevented any further damage and saw Bangladesh sail through in the 19th over.

Ashton Agar, Mitchell Starc, Andrew Tye, Adam Zampa and Josh Hazlewood all picked up a wicket each.

Afif Hossain was adjudged the Man of the Match.
