Tamim again meets Prime Minister
Dhaka, Nov 24: Tamim Iqbal met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday. His wife Ayesha Siddiqa was with him at that time. The veteran opener confirmed this information by posting a picture from his verified Facebook page.
No details are known about the exact reason why Tamim met the Prime Minister. In a social media post, Tamim wrote, "It is always a pleasure to meet the Honorable Prime Minister."
Tamim Iqbal suddenly announced his retirement from international cricket on July 6. Then his return to cricket was quite dramatic. BCB failed to contact Tamim despite several attempts. That is why Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina summoned Tamim through Mashrafe bin Murtaza.
Then Tamim met the Prime Minister in the presence of BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon and Tamim-Mashrafe. This opener said that he will return to cricket only after that. After two months of rest, Tamim returned to the field with the New Zealand series. Although he did not play in the World Cup after that. His absence on the big stage on Indian soil is well felt by the team.
