BPL The best 4 teams of BPL have been decided
Dhaka, February 4: The names of the best four teams to play in the BPL playoffs have been decided. Sylhet Strikers, Fortune Barisal, Comilla Victorians and Rangpur Riders will play in the play-offs. All these 4 teams have at least 12 points.
The remaining three teams Dhaka Dominators (6 in 11 matches), Khulna Tigers (4 in 10 matches) and Chittagong Challengers (4 in 9 matches) have no chance of getting 12 points. So Sylhet of Mashrafe Bin Mortuza, Barisal of Shakib Al Hasan, Comilla of Imrul Qais and Rangpur Riders of Nurul Hasan Sohan are in the last four.
Now the thing to see is which 2 teams are first and second. Because the top two teams will get two chances to reach the final. The two teams in third and fourth place are eliminated from the playoffs if they lose a match.
Meanwhile, Rangpur went to number 4 by sending off Dhaka with Sohan's sweeping batting. If the last match was won, there would be hope on paper. But Dhaka Dominators could not. Despite fighting, Nasir Hossain's team lost in the end.
Rangpur Riders secured the playoffs by defeating Dhaka by 2 wickets and 3 balls in hand. By losing this match, Dhaka has been confirmed. Rangpur's target was not too big, 131 runs. However, Dhaka's pacer Shariful Islam gave hope by picking up Mohammad Naim (0) and Sheikh Mehdi (2) within 9 runs.
