Own representative, Dhaka, December 7: The third day of the Dhaka Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan has been abandoned due to continuous rain. Bangladesh-Pakistan cricketers did not get a chance to play on Saturda.. Due to the continuous rain from the beginning of the day, the match management of Dhaka Test declared abandoned at 2 pm Monday. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first on the first day of the match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

Batting in 56 overs, Pakistan finished the first day with 161 runs for 2 wickets. Thirty-three overs were not played on the first day of the test due to lack of light.

The first session of the second day of the test was ruined due to lack of light and rain. However, the game started in the second session. After playing 6.2 overs, the game stopped again in the rain. If the rain does not subside later, the umpires and match referees end the day's play. Pakistan finished the second day with 188 runs for 2 wickets in 63.2 overs. Azhar Ali was unbeaten on 52 and captain Babar Azam on 71.

Pakistan openers Abid Ali (39) and Abdullah Shafiq (25) were all out on the first day. Bangladesh left-arm spinner Taizul Islam took both the wickets that fell to Pakistan. Pakistan won the first Test of the series by 8 wickets.
