Three women cricketers get good news after returning home

Sports Correspondent, Dhaka, Sept 29: The women cricketers of Bangladesh received good news after returning home from the United Arab Emirates. They have improved slightly in various categories of women's T20 cricket rankings updated by the ICC on Wednesday. The women cricketers of Bangladesh got the prize of being the champion of the T20 World Cup Qualifiers.

Sanjida Akter Meghla has advanced the most in the ranking. Bangladesh's left-arm spinner has moved up 13 steps to 66th in the bowling rankings. She took 7 wickets in 5 matches in the Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers.

Bangladesh's Fargana Hoque Pinky has moved up 7 steps to number 46 in the ranking of batters. She scored 72 runs in two matches in this qualifying round. This top-order batter of Bangladesh scored 61 runs against Ireland in the final.

Rumana Ahmed has advanced four steps in the ranking of bowlers. Bangladesh all-rounder is now at number 56. This leg spinner of Bangladesh took three wickets in 5 matches in the women's T20 World Cup qualifiers that ended two days ago. Salma Khatun remains in the eighth position in the all-rounder ranking.

Unbeaten champions Bangladesh defeated Ireland in the final of this year's women's T20 World Cup qualifiers. Jyoti-Salma Khatun and the team have secured their ticket to next year's T20 World Cup by winning five out of five matches.
