U-19 Women's T20 WC: Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka

Dhaka, January 17: Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 10 runs in ICC Women's T20 World Cup. In the last match, Bangladesh U-19 women's team beat Australia.

With these two consecutive wins, Bangladesh have almost secured their position in the group for the super six.

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 165 runs for 2 wickets. Openers Mishti Saha and Afia Pratyasha secured an opening partnership of 75 runs, where Pratyasha contributed 53 runs off 43 balls. Mishti scored 14 runs off 24 balls.

Swarna Akter scored another half century (50 off 28 balls), while wicketkeeper-batter Dilara Akter scored an unbeaten 36 off 27 balls.

Chasing 166, the Sri Lankan innings came to an end at 155 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, just 11 runs shorter of their goal.

Marufa Akter and Disha Biswas got two and one wickets respectively in their four-over spell.
