Dhaka, April 22: The seat of advocate Abdul Matin Khasru, president of the Supreme Court Bar Association and former law minister, has been declared vacant (Comilla-5). The seat was declared vacant in a circular signed by Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan, senior secretary of the parliament.

Over a hundred MPs infected with Covid19, 4 dead

Dhaka, April 16: After the coronavirus spread in Bangladesh, more than a hundred members of parliament have been infected in the country. Four lawmakers of the current parliament have died. Awami League presidium member, Comilla-5 MP and former minister Abdul Matin Khasru, who fought a month-long battle with coronavirus, died on Wednesday. Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury of Sylhet-3 constituency died last month during the second wave of the pandemic.

Former Law Minister Abdul Matin Khasru laid to rest

Dhaka, April 15: Prominent lawyer of the country, presidium member of Awami League and former law minister Abdul Matin Khasru MP has been buried next to his parents' grave in the family graveyard of his village home Mirpur. The burial of the veteran politician was completed on Tuesday (April 15) after the fifth and final janaza at the Mirpur Government Primary School ground in Comilla's Brahmanpara upazila.

Dhaka, November 12: Former law minister and Awami League presidium member Abdul Matin Khasru has demanded a ban on the use of army names before the names of the killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
