Dhaka, November 26: Two motorcyclists were killed in a head-on collision between a battery-operated auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle in Matlab North of Chandpur. The accident took place in Bhati Rasulpur area around 6 pm on Friday (November 25). The deceased are Mohammad Hossain (22) son of Rustam Ali of South Torki village and Salauddin (21) son of Mohsin Mia of the same village.

Cargo loaded with coal averts major accident in Pasur river

Dhaka, November 12: A cargo of coal was narrowly escaped in the Pasur river. The driver quickly lifted the cargo to a nearby pasture as the floor was severely ruptured. As a result, 12 crew members and 850 metric tons of coal carried for Rampal power station were saved. This incident happened on Friday morning.

Two die while trying to save friend from drowning

Dhaka, March 18: A teenager drowned while taking a bath in Padma river in Rajshahi. Two more friends jumped into the river to save him. The drowned teenager survived but the two friends died. The accident took place on Friday (March 18) at around 11:30 am in the Padma river in Barakuthi area of the city. The deceased have been identified as Nirab, 15, son of Sarik of Barakuthi area of Rajshahi and Shahin, 16, son of Sayed of the same area.

At least 30 others were injured. The accident took place on the Cox's Bazar-Chittagong highway in Medhakchhapia area of Khutakhali in Chakaria upazila around 11:30 pm on Sunday (February 6).
