Bailey Road fire: Avishruti's body identified after DNA testing

Dhaka, March 11: Body of journalist Avishruti Shastri aka Brishti Khatun, who was killed in the capital's Bailey Road fire, has been identified nine days after the incident. The DNA test report revealed that her father is Sabuj Sheikh and mother Beauty Khatun. Her body was identified in the forensic lab of the Police Criminal Investigation Department-CID.

Risky hotel-restaurants: 872 held in police operations in three days

Dhaka, March 7: After the death of 46 people in the terrible fire in the capital's Bailey Road, the administration is shaken. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Rajuk and city corporation have launched the operation. Among them, many famous restaurants have been sealed. DMP has done dangerous gas cylinder and various things in three days. So far 872 people have been arrested in these operations, and 20 cases have been registered.
