The situation will calm down soon. Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said this at the Eid gift distribution ceremony of Fishermen's League at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital on Friday (April 5).

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 6 April 2024: Commander Khandaker Al Moin, Director of Legal and Media Wing of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), believes that the incident of bank robbery, armed robbery and attack in Ruma-Thanchi of Bandarban is mainly due to money robbery and KNF capability. He said this at a press conference after the rescue of the bank manager at the Bandarban Hill District Parishad conference room on Friday (April 5) at 11 am.

BGB to set up 5 BOPs on inaccessible border to block KNF route
Dhaka, June 16: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) does not have a BOP (Border Observation Post) covering a large part of the rugged hilly border of the hill district of Bandarban. That is why the members of the extremist organization Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) can travel freely through those areas. The BGB will set up five new BOPs in the vacant areas to prevent KNF members from relocating through the border areas after the recent joint operations.
Eight killed in gunfight between two armed terrorist groups in Bandarban
Dhaka, April 7: A massive gunfight took place between two groups in Khamtampara area of Rowanchari Upazila of Bandarban. Eight people were killed in this incident. On Friday (April 7) at noon, the police recovered the bodies of eight people from Khamtam neighborhood of the upazila.
Army personnel killed in KNA firing in Bandarban
Dhaka, March 15: A soldier was killed in sudden firing by the Kuki-Chin National Army (KNA) in the remote hilly area of Ruangchhari in Bandarban. Two more army personnel were injured. This information was shared in a circular of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday.
Bandarban connected to national highway
Dhaka, February 1: Bandarban-Keranihat highway widening project has been completed ahead of schedule. Through this, the tourist city of Bandarban is connected to the national highway. The 20 Engineer Construction Battalion of the Army has completed the project at a cost of Tk 266 crore 56 lakh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will officially inaugurate the road soon.
