Gas found in another well in Bhola, igniting fires started

Dhaka, April 29: Gas has been found in another new well named Ilisha-1 in Bhola. BAPEX started lighting the fire in the new well on Friday (April 28) morning. The new well is the ninth well in Bhola district and the third well in Bhola Sadar upazila. Locals are seeing the development potential as gas is discovered one after another in the district.

Dhaka, January 24: BAPEX has found gas in Bhola North-2. An experimental fire was ignited after digging a new well of Bhola North-2 in Paschim Ilisha of Bhola Sadar Upazila on Monday evening.

Extraction of gas from abandoned wells in Biyanibazar starts

Dhaka, November 28: Extraction of gas from the abandoned well in Biyanibazar has started. As a result, about 8 million cubic feet of gas will be added to the national grid transmission lines from these wells per day.

Dhaka, September 10: Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Limited (BAPEX) has started the re-excavation of the abandoned well number one of the gas field in Biyanibazar, Sylhet. The company expects to get five to seven million cubic feet of gas per day from this well.
