Dhaka, Nov 10: A court has ordered BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and media cell convenor Zahir Uddin Swapan to be sent to jail after the remand in the case filed at capital's Paltan Model Police Station in connection with the death of police constable Amirul Islam Parvez (32) in a clash between BNP's leaders and activists around the BNP's grand rally.

Clash case with police against 500 activists of BNP including Gayeshwar Roy

Dhaka, May 24: A case has been filed against BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy and 46 activists of the party in connection with the clash with the police from the BNP's program in the Science Lab area of the capital's Newmarket police station.

Dhaka, December 10: The DB arrested BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and the party's Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas in the case of clashes between BNP leader-activists and police in Naya Paltan area of the capital on Thursday night. When they were produced in the court on Friday, the court rejected the bail application and sent them to jail. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim gave this order after the hearing.

Dhaka, December 9: The court granted two-day remand to 14 people in the case of the clash between BNP activists and police in front of the BNP central office in Naya Paltan. Meanwhile, the same court has ordered to send 434 activists, including Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and Dhaka Metropolitan North convener Aman Ullah Aman, to jail. Later, Aman Ullah Aman and two others were released on bail.
