Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 27 March 2024: A young man named Al Amin (33) was killed in firing by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) across Porsha border in Naogaon. The incident took place in the Milmari area, about two kilometers inside India from the border on Tuesday (March 26) morning. The deceased was Al Amin, son of Abu Bakkar Siddique of Neetpur village of Porsha upazila.

No use of lethal weapons on border: BSF DG

He said this in response to a question asked by journalists at the joint press conference of the BGB-BSF DG on the last day of the 54th BGB-BSF Director General level border conference in Dhaka on Saturday (March 9).

BGB to set up 5 BOPs on inaccessible border to block KNF route

Dhaka, June 16: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) does not have a BOP (Border Observation Post) covering a large part of the rugged hilly border of the hill district of Bandarban. That is why the members of the extremist organization Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) can travel freely through those areas. The BGB will set up five new BOPs in the vacant areas to prevent KNF members from relocating through the border areas after the recent joint operations.

BGB-BSF coordination meeting held at Banglabandha
