Dhaka, June 10: The relocation of Rohingyas to Bhasanchar in Noakhali will begin again. They will be taken to Bhasanchar at the end of September. Disaster Management and Relief Ministry Secretary Md Mohsin made the remarks after a meeting on Thursday (June 10) at noon to discuss the relocation of Rohingya to Bhasanchar.
Dhaka, May 21: The administration has announced lockdown of 5 Rohingya camps in Ukhia and Teknaf in Cox's Bazar. Additional Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Md Samchu-Douja Nayan said this late on Thursday night. The lockdown in five Rohingya camps in Ukhia and Teknaf began on Friday (May 21st) morning.

Dhaka, February 9: A women-friendly center has been inaugurated to develop skills through security and training of displaced Rohingya women who have taken refuge in Bangladesh from Myanmar. The center has been set up at Lambasia in Kutupalong, Ukhia, Cox's Bazar. Mahfuzur Rahman, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Relief and Rehabilitation and Camp Incharge, cut the ribbon and inaugurated the camp on Monday (February 8) as the chief guest.

Dhaka, December 5: The Bangladesh government has called on the international community not to "misinterpret" the sincere efforts to relocate Rohingyas' to Bhasan Char. The call came in a statement issued by the foreign ministry on Friday amid concerns from various organisations, including the United Nations, about the Rohingya relocation.

When they arrived at noon on Friday (December 4), everyone's body temperature was measured as a precation to the coronavirus. After washing their hands, they were taken to their residence by car from the jetty. The members of the navy helped the children to move there. Many Rohingyas have expressed relief on reaching the island.
Dhaka, December 3: A group of Rohingyas who took refuge in Ukhiya and Teknaf in Cox's Bazar are relocating to Bhasanchar voluntarily. On Thursday (December 3) at noon, the group left for the new island in 10 buses.
Dhaka, December 3: Various domestic and foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are working alongside the government for the development of the Rohingya community who have taken refuge in Bangladesh after being displaced from Myanmar. It has been alleged that NGOs have been opposing the relocation of these displaced people to Bhasanchar. Recently, 22 NGOs have started working.
