Crime against humanity: Judgment of 7 accused of Bagerhat on Thursday

Dhaka, Nov 28: The International Crimes Tribunal will announce the judgment of the case against seven people including Khan Akram of Bagerhat on charges of crimes against humanity on Thursday (November 30).

Shamsul Haque's sentence reduced to 10 years imprisonment for crimes against humanity

Dhaka, Nov 15: The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has announced a verdict reducing the sentence of Shamsul Haque (Badar Bhai) of Jamalpur, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in the case of murder, genocide and other crimes against humanity committed during the Liberation War.

Two suspects arrested in the warranted crime against humanity case

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 22 August 2023: Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) of Police has arrested two absconding accused under arrest warrant of International Criminal Tribunal. Dhaka, September 13: The International Criminal Tribunal has announced the death sentence of Khalilur Rahman of Durgapur, Netrokona in the case of murder, genocide and other crimes against humanity committed during the Liberation War. On Tuesday (September 13), the three-member International Crimes Tribunal led by the chairman of the tribunal, Justice Md. Shahinur Islam, passed the verdict.

Crimes against humanity: Death penalty for one, three sentenced to life in prison

The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has sentenced Maulana Md Shafi Uddin of Habiganj's Lakhai Upazila to death for crimes against humanity, including rape, murder and genocide, committed during the Great War of Liberation. Besides, three accused have been sentenced to life in prison. However, the court acquitted one of the accused as the allegations were not proved.

Dhaka, February 12: Three of the nine accused in Mymensingh's Gafargaon have been sentenced to death, five to 20 years in prison and one, Abdul Latif, has been acquitted of crimes against humanity, including murder, looting, arson, kidnapping, detention and torture during the 1971 war of liberation, by the International Crimes Tribunal.
