A large quantity of explosives was recovered from the new hideout.

Dhaka, June 24: Professor Shamin Mahfuz, the founder of the new militant organization Jamatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya, and his wife have been arrested. The members of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) arrested them from Demra area of the capital on Friday night. A large amount of weapons and explosives have been seized at this time.

Dr. Rafat Chowdhury arrested for involvement in terrorism

Dhaka, November 10: DMP's Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) bomb disposal unit has arrested Dr. Rafat Chowdhury, son of the current Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh, Dr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman, for his involvement in militancy. He was arrested from Sylhet on Wednesday (November 9) at noon. Arrested Dr. Chowdhury is the chief coordinator of Sylhet region of banned militant organization Ansar Al Islam.

Six years of Holey Artisan attack: Militants no longer have the ability to cause any major incident

On that terrible night, the militants carried out a hellish massacre at the Holey Artisan Bakery in Gulshan-2. A total of 22 people, including two police officers and 17 foreign nationals, were killed in the attack. Country gets first Bomb Data Centre

Dhaka, September 2: For the first time in the country, the Bomb Disposal Unit of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC), a specialized unit for counter-terrorism, has launched a 'Bomb Data Centre' for the systematic storage and exchange of information on explosions in the country and abroad. The new bomb data center will store information on bombs and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and militants.
