Japanese children custody: Case to continue in district court

Dhaka, June 12: The High Court rejected the appeal of Imran Sharif, the father of the children, seeking a change of court for hearing the appeal regarding the custody of the two Japanese children, Jasmine Malika and Laila Lina. The court said that according to the instructions of the Appellate Division, this appeal case will be disposed of by the District Judge Court. A single High Court bench of Justice Mamnoon Rahman passed the order on Monday.

Dhaka, March 10: The Supreme Court has directed the District Judge Court of Dhaka to dispose of the appeal filed by their father Imran Sharif of Bangladeshi origin within three months regarding the custody of two children from Japan. Dhaka, January 30: Parents are fighting a legal battle to get custody of their two daughters. Sometimes the girls also ran with them to the balcony of the court. In the end, these two children are staying with the mother. Second Additional Assistant Judge of Dhaka and Family Court Judge Durdana Rahman announced the verdict in this regard on Sunday (January 29) afternoon. The court thinks that the children will be better off if the mother is in charge. So the court rejected the application made by the father to take custody of the two children.

Bangladeshi father Imran Sharif will be able to meet his children only during the day. The rent of the flat should be borne equally by the parents of the children. The order will remain in force till October 21. The High Court will give the next order on that day.
