Dhaka, March 20: Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has directed the councillors of the corporation to stay in the ground to closely supervise the various initiatives taken and the activities under implementation to resolve the waterlogging.

Policeman shot during eviction of slums in Shahjahanpur

Dhaka, Jan 22: A police constable named Mehdi Hasan (24) was shot during a slum eviction operation at the Shahjahanpur playground in the capital. Apart from this, five people, including Shahjahanpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sujit Kumar Saha and Inspector-Operation Maidul Islam, were injured in the clash.
