EC wants to authorize 68 domestic monitoring bodies

Dhaka, August 9: The Election Commission (EC) has initially finalized 68 domestic observation agencies to monitor the elections ahead of the 12th National Assembly elections. The EC issued a public notice on Tuesday giving 15 days time for claims/objections/complaints against the companies. After settling the claims/objections, the EC will finally be included as the observer body for the next five years.

Attack on Hero Alam: EC says nothing happened in polling station, but the incident is unfortunate

Dhaka, July 18: Regarding the attack on independent candidate Hero Alam, Election Commissioner (EC) Md Alamgir said, "He (Hero Alam) tried to enter the center with many supporters.
