299 killed, 544 injured in road accidents during Eid holidays

Dhaka, July 9: Two hundred and ninety-nine people were killed in 277 accidents on the country's roads and highways during the Eid-ul-Azha holiday. Another 544 people were injured. Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samiti gave this information in a press conference at Bangladesh Photojournalist Association auditorium in the city on Saturday morning.

Dhaka roads still empty, no traffic jam seen
