Dhaka: Korail slum gutted in fire

Dhaka, March 25: A part of Korail slum has been turned into rubble by fire. The fire service believes that about 40 to 50 houses have been burnt. The furniture, cash and other goods in the houses were burnt to ashes. The residents are shedding tears while sitting on the ashes. They have lost everything in the fire.

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 1 March 2024: In Raipura, Narsingdi, angry husband poured petrol on himself and his ex-wife and set himself on fire. In this incident, two days after the death of Khalilur Rahman Khalil, his ex-wife Dr. Lata Akhtar (32) also died while undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in the capital on Thursday around 12:30 pm.

Four of same family burnt in Munshiganj flat explosion

Dhaka, Dec 9: In Idrakpur area of Munshiganj, four members of the same family, including two women and a child, were burnt due to explosion and fire in a residential building. They were rescued and sent to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Dhaka, April 14: A fire broke out at a tin-shedded godown at Suritola in the capital's Nawabpur. The fire was brought under control around 11:45 pm, nearly two hours after it started. Four members of the same family killed Rupganj fire

Four members of the same family have died in a fire that broke out in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj. The accident took place on Friday (January 22) at around 8:45 pm when the DESCO tear fell on the 11,000 volt power line of Narayanganj Palli Bidyut in Kumartech area of Sector 11 in Purbachal.

One killed, seven burnt in Chittagong short circuit fire

Dhaka, November 9: Nine people were burnt in a short-circuit fire at a building in Chittagong city's Akbarshah police station's North Kattli on Monday midnight. One of them died at the hospital and two are in critical condition. They were admitted to Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital.
