Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 19 September 2023: Director General (DG) of World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus held a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The meeting was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Monday local time. Meanwhile, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus enthusiastically praised the steps taken by the Bangladesh government for overall development of the health sector to ensure health services for all.
Dhaka, May 12: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called on rich countries to increase aid in the global health sector. She said that the rich countries of the world should finance to ensure universal health care. Funds should be created for this.
Dhaka, June 7: Criticizing the government for Corruption in the health sector, opposition Deputy Leader in Parliament Golam Mohammad (GM) Quader said that there are allegations that most of the money sanctioned in the aforementioned sector is being wasted at different times, but there is no evidence that the culprits have been punished.
