Bangladeshi youth killed in Naogaon border firing by BSF

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 27 March 2024: A young man named Al Amin (33) was killed in firing by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) across Porsha border in Naogaon. The incident took place in the Milmari area, about two kilometers inside India from the border on Tuesday (March 26) morning. The deceased was Al Amin, son of Abu Bakkar Siddique of Neetpur village of Porsha upazila.

No use of lethal weapons on border: BSF DG

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 10 February 2024: Director General of India's Border Security Force (BSF) Nitin Agarwal has said that the BSF is using non-lethal weapons on the Bangladesh border. Various initiatives have been taken to reduce border killings to zero. He said this in response to a question asked by journalists at the joint press conference of the BGB-BSF DG on the last day of the 54th BGB-BSF Director General level border conference in Dhaka on Saturday (March 9).

A call to reduce border killings to zero

Indian Customs stops hundreds of trucks at the Bangladesh border

Dhaka, June 2: Hundreds of trucks loaded with wheat are stuck on the Indian side of the Bangladesh border. The amount of these wheat stuck in different land ports of the state of West Bengal is about four lakh tons. The huge quantity of wheat for export to Bangladesh has been stuck for at least three weeks but Indian customs is not allowing it to enter Bangladesh. Police arrested her last Thursday (February 17).
