After various dramas, the Jatiya Party made an official announcement to enter the election after the withdrawal of the boat candidate in 26 constituencies. However, there are independent candidates of the party in the seats left by Awami League. As a result, the Jatiya Party (Japa) is not completely independent even after getting a 'share of seats'. Even in most of the constituencies, the Japa candidates are 'disadvantaged'.
