Dhaka, June 12: The district administration is in a strict position in the lockdown starting from today in Kushtia district where the coronavirus infection has increased at an alarming rate. The ban starts at 12 midnight on Saturday (June 12) for seven days. Strict restrictions will continue until midnight on June 18.

Two sisters commit suicide over family feud in Kushtia

Dhaka, October 24: Two sisters ended their life by hanging themselves at Daulatpur in Kushtia. Police recovered their bodies from Aria Kamarpara area of Aria Union in the upazila around 5pm on Friday (October 23). The deceased have been identified as Mukta, 15, daughter of Muazzem Sardar of Aria Kamarpara area and Ruma, 25, daughter of his brother Muntaz Ali Sardar.
