Bangladesh-Maldives ink three agreements

Own representative, Dhaka, December 24: To take bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Maldives to new heights, the two countries on Thursday signed three agreements in the areas of health, education, double taxation, prisoner exchange and youth and sports. The agreement was signed in the presence of both the leaders after bilateral talks between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih.

Bangladesh among seven South Asian countries at the same table to address climate risk

Dhaka, November 5: South Asian countries at risk of severe climate. In particular, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and Pakistan are seeing the long-term effects of the slowdown caused by climate change. These include rising sea levels, declining crop yields, damage to ecosystems and biodiversity, and droughts.

Dhaka, March 18: President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, who is visiting Bangladesh, had a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office after 11 pm on Thursday.

President of Maldives to attend the golden jubilee celebrations of independence today

Dhaka, March 17: Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will arrive in Dhaka this morning to take part in the celebrations of the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence and the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as the first world leader. Solih is coming to Bangladesh on a three-day visit. After that, the heads of state of Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and India will come to Dhaka.
