Dhaka, March 25: The pickup driver who hit Jhalkathi District Commissioner (DC) Farha Gul Nijhum's car has been sentenced to six months imprisonment by an instant mobile court.

Penalty in mobile court if buses fail to display fare chart

Dhaka, August 12: If the buses plying on the capital's roads do not have the prescribed fare chart of BRTA, then that vehicle will be fined and this will continue, said Noor Mohammad Majumder, chairman of the organisation. He said this while talking to reporters after visiting Mohakhali Bus Terminal in the capital on Friday (August 12) afternoon.

18 bus drivers fined Tk 42,500 for overcharging passengers

Dhaka, November 11: After the increase in the price of fuel oil, the government has increased the bus fare and listed the increased fare on all routes. However, most of the buses plying in the capital do not have that list. Passengers allege that drivers and supervisors are charging extra fares from them without posting lists. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has conducted mobile courts at various points of the capital to stop the collection of extra fare on buses and has fined 18 bus drivers a total of Tk 42,500.

Govt. appoints 106 Magistrates to run Mobile Court during Lockdown

Dhaka, July 1: The government has imposed a seven-day strict lockdown from Thursday (July 1) as coronavirus (Covid-19) infections have risen alarmingly. To keep things in check, 106 officers of the BCS administration cadre have been appointed as executive magistrates to run mobile courts, an order issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday (June 30) said.

Mobile court fines for non-compliance with government regulations on first day of lockdown

Dhaka, April 15: The Dhaka South City Corporation (DDC) on Wednesday conducted 11 mobile court raids against mosquito larvae and non-compliance with lockdown hygiene rules to prevent coronavirus. The raids were conducted by the corporation's regional executive officers (Anik) as well as three executive magistrates of the corporation.

Dhaka, November 16: Law enforcement agencies have been instructed to take a firm stand in Dhaka, including the operation of mobile courts, to ensure that masks are worn. Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam made the remarks in a briefing at a cabinet meeting at the Secretariat on Monday.
