Dhaka, July 28: The government plans to vaccinate 10 million people a week as part of a nationwide coronavirus vaccination campaign. For this, vaccination will be given at the union level from August 7. Vaccination will be done by setting up a center in the Union Parishad to carry out these activities. Sinopharm vaccine will be given in rural areas, while the urban population will receive Moderna jabs.

US to gift another 3 million doses of coronavirus vaccine to Bangladesh

Dhaka, July 18: The United States of America will provide another 3 million doses of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine to Bangladesh as gift under the COVAX framework. Earl Miller, the US ambassador to Bangladesh, made the announcement on Twitter on Saturday (July 17).

Dhaka, July 14: There is a growing interest in the country to get vaccinated against coronavirus. More than 218 people are registering for the vaccine every minute. In the last 24 hours, 3,14,907 people have registered in the Surokkha app for vaccination.

Bangladesh receives 45 lakh doses of Moderna, Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine from USA and China

Dhaka, July 3: The combined doses of coronavirus vaccine received by Bangladesh from China and the USA have totaled 45 lakh on Saturday. While the USA sent 25 lakh doses of the Moderna vaccine through the COVAX facility, China sent the other 20 million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine.

Dhaka, June 5: US President Joe Biden has announced that the United States will provide seven million doses of the coronavirus vaccine to countries in South and Southeast Asia, including Bangladesh, to combat the pandemic. Biden also announced plans for a global vaccine distribution in the United States on Thursday (local time).
