Dhaka, March 28: The Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO will ask for an explanation as to why legal action will not be taken against Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Yunus Centre for misusing the name of UNESCO and committing falsehood.

ACC case: Dr. Yunus will surrender in the judicial court on Sunday in the case of embezzlement of Tk 25 crore.

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, March 1, 2024: Dr. Muhammad Yunus will go to the judicial court on Sunday, March 3, to appear and surrender regarding the charge sheet and warrant issued by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in the case of embezzlement of Tk. 25.22 crore. His lawyer Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun said these things to reporters in a briefing in front of the Supreme Court's annex building on Thursday.

Dr. Yunus has to take permission from court to travel abroad

Dhaka, Feb 6: Nobel laureate economist Dr. Muhammad Yunus, chairman of Gramin Telecom, who was acquitted of the sentence in the case of violation of labour laws, must take permission from the court to travel abroad. The remaining three accused in this case will also have to comply with the same order in respect of foreign travel.
