Rising Teesta water levels recedes overnight

Dhaka, October 21: The water level of the river Teesta has decreased overnight after the sudden rise in water due to the opening of all the gates on the upper slope and Ghazoldoba in India. At 9:00 am on Thursday (October 21), the Teesta Barrage flowed 40 centimeters below the danger line at Dahlia Point. Meanwhile, 44 gates have been opened to protect the barrage.

Teesta waters flowing over 60 cm danger level

Dhaka, October 20: The Teesta River has risen sharply at Dalia Point in Nilphamari due to heavy rains and steep slopes. At 9:00 am on Wednesday (October 20), water was flowing over 60 cm danger mark (53.20 cm). At that point, the danger level is 52.60 centimeters. Water flowed below the danger level (51.40 cm) till 6:00 pm on Tuesday.
