Dhaka, Sept 29: President Md Shahabuddin said that all the mega projects including construction of Padma Setu, Metrorail, third terminal of Shahjalal International Airport, Karnaphuli Tunnel, Elevated Expressway and Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant are being completed on time. People have also started reaping their benefits.
PM will cross Padma Setu by train to join public meeting in Faridpur
Dhaka, Sept 26: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Dhaka-Bhanga railway on October 10. On this day, she will cross the Padma Bridge by train and join the public meeting at the Bhanga Stadium in Faridpur. Faridpur Deputy Commissioner Kamrul Ahsan Talukder said this on Monday night.
The trial train will run through Padma Bridge on Thursday

Trains will go from Dhaka railway station to Bhanga station on a trial basis on Thursday, September 7. Then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate this railway on October 10. However, the length of the railway from Dhaka to Jessore to be constructed in the whole project is 172 km.
Launch passengers for Dhaka decreased by 34% since Padma Setu inaugurated last year
Dhaka, August 25: Before the inauguration of the Padma Bridge, at least 50,000 people used to go to various coastal districts of the country including Barisal by boat every day from Dhaka. Since the bridge was inaugurated, this number has decreased by 17,000 to 33,000 in the last one year. According to this, the number of passengers in Dhaka has decreased by 34 percent in the last one year.
9 bikers fined Tk 27,000 for standing on Padma Setu and taking pictures

Authorities to allow motorcycles to run on Padma Setu from April 20
Dhaka, April 18: The government has allowed the movement of motorcycles through the Padma Bridge from 6 am on April 20. In view of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, according to the Prime Minister's order, motorcycles will run on Padma Bridge from 6 am on April 20. Motorcycles will run through the service lane on the left side of Padma Bridge. The speed limit will be 60 km per hour.

Rail line construction work on Padma Setu completed
Dhaka, March 30: The stoneless railway line construction on Padma Setu has been completed. On Wednesday (March 29) around 5:30 pm, 0.15 km of the project was completed. It has connected Jazira end with Mawa on railway road.
Trial run of trains on Padma Setu to start from March 30
Dhaka, March 28: The construction of the stoneless railway line on the lower deck of the Padma Setu is also in its final stage. About 99 percent of the work has been completed. Only one more sleeper placement is left. The construction of the line will be completed once the seven meter long sleeper is installed. There are also plans to run trial trains on the entire Mawa-Jazira bridge from March 30 when the sleeper is installed.
Trains to run at 120 kph from Kamalapur to Bhanga

Construction of Padma Setu rail link to end before scheduled time
