Parliamentary Committee recommends the resumption of Bangladeshi schools located abroad
Dhaka, September 10: The parliamentary committee has recommended reopening of schools for Bangladeshis living abroad, which were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. If any financial assistance is required for this, it is recommended that the concerned ministry take necessary steps in this regard. The recommendation was made at the 13th meeting of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment held at the Sangsad Bhaban on Thursday (September 9).
Parliamentary committee orders immediate shutdown of tannery estate in Savar
Dhaka, August 24: The parliamentary committee has asked to close down the tannery estate in Savar for failing to curb pollution and mismanagement of waste. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change has made such a recommendation.
