Bangladesh is largest troop contributor to UN peacekeeping mission: PM

Dhaka, June 26: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "Bangladesh is the country that sends the most troops to the UN peacekeeping mission. For more than three decades, Bangladesh has been contributing to UN peacekeeping missions with great dedication and professionalism. Around seven and a half thousand Bangladeshi men and women are employed in nine peacekeeping missions of the United Nations worldwide."

Peacekeeping preparatory meeting in Dhaka this month

Dhaka, June 13: In December of this year, the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial Conference is being held in the West African country of Ghana. In view of the request of the United Nations, the preparatory meeting of the ministerial level is going to be held in Dhaka at the end of this month. The main discussion of the meeting will be the participation of women in peace missions.
