US sends more Pfizer doses to Bangladesh

Dhaka: The United States has donated another 96 lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine made by Pfizer to Bangladesh.

Bangladesh among 95 countries allowed to produce Pfizer's coronavirus medicine

Dhaka, November 17: Pfizer has allowed pharmaceutical companies in 95 countries, including Bangladesh, to produce its coronavirus medicine. The US pharmaceutical giant signed an agreement with the United Nations-backed Group Medicines Patent Pool (MPP) on Tuesday (November 16). As a result, pharmaceutical manufacturers in designated countries are licensed to produce Paxlovid, an antiviral drug made by Pfizer.

218 people registering every minute to get coronavirus vaccine

Dhaka, July 14: There is a growing interest in the country to get vaccinated against coronavirus. More than 218 people are registering for the vaccine every minute. In the last 24 hours, 3,14,907 people have registered in the Surokkha app for vaccination.

Vaccination to restart from June 19

Dhaka, June 15: The first dose of coronavirus vaccination in the country will be resumed from June 19. Those who have previously registered to receive the vaccine will be given the vaccine from China's Sinopharm and Pfizer made in Belgium on a priority basis. Health Minister Zahid Maleque told reporters at the BCPS Auditorium in Mohakhali on Monday.
