Dhaka, December 2: In special cases, not the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), but the government will determine, revise and coordinate the prices of fuel oil, electricity and gas at the consumer level. President Md. Abdul Hamid issued the 'Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (Amendment) Ordinance, 2022' on Thursday (December 1) with such power.

Bangladesh reluctant to take responsibility for electricity price hike in India

Dhaka, January 25: Bangladesh will not take responsibility if the price of electricity goes up in India due to political reasons. The power department wants to add a new section for importing power from imported coal-fired power plants. However, the consent of the Government of India is required. That demand has already been raised by Bangladesh.
