Dhaka, Feb 24: The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds at some places of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions.

Dhaka, Sept 4: A mild heatwave is blowing over several districts of the country. The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of rain at different places across all the divisions. Along with that, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur at some places.

7 lakh people waterlogged in Chittagong due to heavy rain, landslides

Dhaka, August 10: Large areas of Chittagong district are flooded due to heavy rains and landslides. About seven lakh people of the district have become waterlogged. Among them, Satkania and the entire Lohagara upazila area have been submerged in water. In addition, thousands of people are spending days in dire conditions due to waterlogging in most areas of Chandnaish, Banshkhali, Patia, Raujan. Crop fields, shops, markets, educational institutions in these areas are also submerged in water. Similarly, the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway has been almost closed for two days due to waterlogging. However, the water in the Satkania and Lohagara sections of the highway began to recede from noon on Wednesday, but it continued to rise in the Chandanish section.
