Dhaka, 5th June 2023: All primary school classes have been closed from Monday to June 8 due to heatwave conditions.

Class admission likely through lottery

Dhaka, November 1: To avoid coronavirus (Covid-19) infection, the Directorate Of Secondary & Higher Education (DSHE) wants to complete the admission process of public-private schools through lottery this year. School admission policy is being made with this aim. The policy may be finalized by holding a meeting in this regard this week. However, the heads of top institutions in Dhaka are not in favor of admitting students through lottery in all classes.

Education institutions will be closed if Covid-19 infection increases

Dhaka, September 25: Educational institutions will be closed again if coronavirus infection increases in the country, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni told reporters after the inauguration of the Bangabandhu Bapu Digital Exhibition at the Shilpakala Academy in the capital on Saturday (September 25).

Parliamentary Committee recommends the resumption of Bangladeshi schools located abroad

Dhaka, September 10: The parliamentary committee has recommended reopening of schools for Bangladeshis living abroad, which were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. If any financial assistance is required for this, it is recommended that the concerned ministry take necessary steps in this regard. The recommendation was made at the 13th meeting of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment held at the Sangsad Bhaban on Thursday (September 9).

100 percent of candidates clear HSC exam

Dhaka, January 30: The results of this year's HSC-equivalent examination have been released on the basis of the results of JSC-JDC and SSC-equivalent examinations. Due to the Corona situation, this time the first 100 percent of the candidates have passed. The pass rate in the last exam was 73.95 percent.

HSC results to be announced today; Gathering in educational institutions prohibited

Dhaka, January 30: The results of HSC and equivalent examinations will be released today, Saturday (January 30). Therefore, the Ministry of Education has instructed the students and parents not to gather at the educational institution. The directive was announced in a press release sent by the ministry on Friday (January 29) night.

HSC results to be declared in January

Dhaka, January 28: Results for the HSC and equivalent examinations are likely to be declared in the month of January, reports said, stating that legal complications are over. Different education boards have been instructed to produce, publish and distribute certificates, however, it is subjected to the approval from the Prime Minister.

HSC results likely to be published in February

Dhaka, January 27: HSC results are likely to be declared in February, after consultation with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, reports said. Officials will seek permission from the Prime Minister in between January 29 and February 3 before publishing the results.
